It has been proven that girths can be a huge impact on the wellbeing of your horse’s range of motion. Therefore, I have designed a western girth so they are cut back at the front and the rear of the elbow region, to allow this better range of movement in your horse's shoulders. With extra padding where the cinch buckle is to reduce the feel of the buckle on your horse's body, allowing extra comfort.
How to measure your girths for correct sizing:
Using a dressmaker tape, measure from the centre of your horse’s sternum. (this is in line with the girth groove) Place the end of the tape here, Bring the tape up firmly against your horse’s side, measure approximately 5-7 inches above the point of the elbow. This will depend on the size of your horse, as the higher the horse the higher you may need to measure to. Then multiply by 2. This will give you the size girth you will need to order. If you are still unsure, please contact Naomi@allurewestern.com for further information.

Hand wash in cold water or place your girth in a pillow case for extra protection before placing in washing Machine. Wash in cold water on wool cycle, using a gentle laundry liquid designed for wool products.
DRYING:
Air dry in a well-ventilated area that is directly out of sunlight. When your Girth is dry, gentle brush loose dirt and hair off. This helps remove surface dirt and rejuvenate the wool and fibres, it helps reduce the number of times you need to wash your girth. It helps prolong the life of your girth. NEVER PUT IN THE DRYER
How Often Should I Wash My Girth:
A good rule of thumb is your girth should be washed whenever they look dirty. Dirt, hair, and grime that can build up under a saddle pad can cause rubbing and can contribute to skin conditions if not removed regularly.
